Since scrappy quilting isn't my forte and I wanted to do all these fabrics justice, I used a random sequence generator to distribute the hearts. It was a quicker and easier process than trying to do "random" on my own (don't laugh!), which was just what I needed. It's working out nicely, I think!

I also acquired and pre-washed a very pretty purple batik fabric for the back. I didn't have anything in my stash that worked well. Apparently my stash could use a purple infusion!

Your blocks look lovely! Thanks for linking up at MOP Monday!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that your random is following something randomized for you. Sounds like something I would do.
ReplyDeleteI hear you on the random. That's not my forte either ... it looks like the random sequence generator is working just fine for you. ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, nothing wrong with getting help on "random" - mine always ends up looking to carefully planned out. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think it matters how you get there - whatever works for you - but those blocks look great. Isn't it funny how we can have piles of stash and still be missing a whole colour (mine is yellow).
ReplyDelete110 hearts! Wow, that is a lot! I share your "randomicity-challengedness" (new hyphenated word I just made up) but I think I would struggle with organizing that many. But I am confused. 110 is not divisible by 4... Did you make spare hearts? The quilt is going to look terrific.
