Giving Thanks and Productivity

What a productive holiday I've had.  In between long bouts of relaxing, eating, and the occasional walk, I've made some granny squares...

...and after people threatened to use them for coasters several times, I made some actual coasters for my parents' new house.

I worked on quilting a certain wall hanging.  Two sets of trees down, but there's still a long way to go.  I sure hope I can have this done in three weeks.  I have to get a serious move on!

And last but not least, my little scorpion was given a tail!  I've started a couple of cross-stitches but have never finished one.  Finishing a cross-stitch is on my bucket list, and there's no time like the present to start working towards it!

Labor Day Progress

I hope everyone had a nice long weekend!  We had some unexpected sun and so there was a lot of hiking, kayaking, and swimming going on around here but I did make some progress none-the-less.

Here's a little sneak peak at what's going on over here these days...

Leveling Up

Here it is!  My original plan in all it's glory.  I was hoping to have all the blocks finished by last Wednesday but alas, it was not meant to be.

Granny Squares (next to a 24 inch ruler)

Right now I have 56 squares making a layout approximately 33 x 37 inches.  I am trying to make a small blanket, but I'm pretty sure my baby quilts are larger than that - which makes this blanket too small!

My new plan is to continue crocheting squares until I've run out of yarn.  First up is one more row and one more column; six more pinks, and five more each of black and teal.

I'd love to hear your opinions on how big this blanket should become!
