It's been a long time coming, but our house is finally finished and we're all moved in! Since the house is brand new construction there isn't anything around it but sand yet, so it's a good thing I brought a tree of my own! It has a little growing left to do, but by Christmas time it should be just about ready to decorate.
I have always loved the subtle color variations within postage stamp style quilts. Your color palette is beautiful and lush looking, like a healthy bushy evergreen tree. Great quilt!

ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful! And it is so exciting that you are all moved in.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tree! Are those 2.5" squares?
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Can't wait to see it all decorated.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilt. I'm impressed that you have moved house and managed to keep sewing!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your new house! We are about to start building our own house, which on one hand is really exciting, but on the other is a little unsettling since I struggle with seeing things in 2D... just have to trust my husband on a lot of issues. Now comes the best part of moving into a new place for you... decorating and getting everything set just how you had imagined it. Good luck and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Germany!
Oh... great tree, btw! You picked the best kind of tree to have... the kind that doesn't need watering!
I made an identical tree myself. Did you find a pattern for this one?
ReplyDeleteLovely tree! It even has fircones, lol! :D That shade of Christmas Tree green is one of my favourite colours. :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your new house! Your tree mini is lovely, and the perfect addition to your landscaping. :) I adore all the little squares with all the different tones - it gives the tree great depth. So pretty!
