Friendship Rounds

All of the pretty fabrics cut last week have been stitched into a small Round by Round block.  These little friendship stars are now winging their way into four new sewing rooms and I'll get to see them again in April!  I can't wait to see what they grow into!

Block is 12.25" unfinished.

Despite trying so hard to be accurate with my seam allowances, the middle of the block finished up larger than it was supposed to.  It was refactored easily enough by making the long grey rectangles on the top and bottom a little longer.  I was dis-inclined to take all of those seams apart and try to rescale the block!

  1. This is just so beautiful. I love it so much. And that background print is to die for as it fits this block so well. I think you were smart to adjust your long grey rectangle top and bottom. Much easier. :-)

  4. Your Round by Round block turned out really pretty. I wouldn't have wanted to unpick and resew either. You came up with a good solution to make it the needed size.

  5. Perfect solution to making the block turn out square (I certainly wouldn't have wanted to rip and restitch either). I love how the bright colors just sparkle against that background.

  6. I've always thought a round robin sounded like fun. I like your block a lot - the bright colours work really well with your pretty background fabric. It will be cool to see what happens next.

  7. Wow! That looks incredible! I wouldn't want to redo those stitches either, so glad you found another solution.
