Rainbow Baby Quilt - Finished Top

One small rainbow quilt top: finished!

I just stepped away from my husband for a minute to check the wash... and an hour and a half later, I had a quilt top.  Whoops!   I'm very easily thrown off course.

It doesn't lie entirely flat, but the panel had a warp in it that I couldn't get out no matter what I tried.  So instead I'll just have to ease it in.

Basting it is up next and I hope to have it done by Friday so that I can take this quilt on vacation with me next week.  I don't know how much I'll get to do, but at least I'll have it if I want it.

I'm excited to have a hand quilting project again...  and one I can even blog about!

  1. This quilt is adorable. I love the triangle border. I often say that it is more important for things to look square than be square. That is important for things like panels.

  7. Hi Rachel, You won the HSTeria Quilt Along drawing this week! Just send me your address and I'll send you a nice package of hand dyed scraps. Let me know if you want fabrics with more or less "texture" in the color and let me know if there are an particular color groups that you need.
